How Origin Grading Protects Your Margins

Grading at origin catches size, colour and defect issues before a container ever leaves port — long before they can dent your landed cost.

Why grade at origin, not destination

In cross-border trade, a quality problem discovered at destination is already expensive: the freight is paid, the shelf window is shrinking, and re-work is rarely economical. Grading at origin moves that decision upstream, where a lot can be re-sorted, re-blended or rejected at a fraction of the cost.

Size, colour, moisture and defect count

Every lot is calibrated to your specification — count-per-pound or diameter, colour uniformity, moisture within origin-specific tolerances, and defect thresholds screened against USDA, EU and Codex references. The result is a shipment that behaves predictably on arrival.
